Capri in anxiety for Daniele Vuotto missing for 48 hours, prefect activates rescue

The island of Capri is on alert for the disappearance of Daniele Vuotto, of whom there has been no news for about 48 hours. The Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, immediately activated the Rescue Coordination Center to coordinate the search operations.

The report of the disappearance came from the Carabinieri of the local station, giving rise to a massive search operation involving various forces and resources.

“In the emergency meeting called as soon as the news was received,” reads a note from the Prefecture, “with the participation of the Mayor of Capri, representatives of the Carabinieri, the Fire Brigade, the Unified Operations Room of the Campania Region, the Port Authority, the Director of ASL Napoli 1 Centro and 118, the searches were immediately activated.”

The operations involve the use of canine units, drones and helicopters of the Fire Brigade, in addition to the assets of the Civil Protection and the Alpine Service. The Port Authority has deployed a reinforced device with boats to patrol the entire island by sea.
