Serrara Fontana, 48-year-old Neapolitan arrested: attacks neighbor and officers

Serrara Fontana – Yesterday evening, law enforcement put an end to a series of violent acts that culminated in the arrest of a 48-year-old man of Neapolitan origin.

The man, already known to the police for specific precedents, was arrested on charges of violence, threats, injuries and contempt of a public official.

The intervention of the agents of the Ischia Police Station was triggered following a report received by the operations room regarding a harassing and aggressive person in via Cuotto in Serrara Fontana.

Having quickly arrived on the scene, the police were approached by some residents who said they had witnessed the attack on one of their family members shortly before.

The neighbor, in a state of severe agitation, reportedly pushed the woman, causing her to fall to the ground, before falling himself.

The officers immediately went to the local hospital, where they located the victim of the attack. There they learned that the attacker, after refusing medical attention and threatening a security guard, had left.

Further investigations revealed that the man, in the meantime, had returned to the neighbors' home, reiterating the threats against them.

The police then tracked down the 48-year-old at his home. At the sight of the officers, the man had a violent reaction, cursing them and trying to attack them by brandishing scissors.

Only after a fight did the officers manage to stop him and take him to the police station. Even during the phases following his arrest, the man continued to make threats towards the police officers.

In light of the serious incidents, the 48-year-old was declared under arrest by the operating personnel and will have to answer to the charges of violence, threats, injuries and contempt of a Public Official.
