Faito Tragedy, a Witness: “I Saw the Cabin Sway and Then Fall Down”

Castellammare – Si chiama Carmine e abita tra i boschi che da Castellammare portano sul fact. La sua casa si affaccia sulla montagna. Quella cabina della funivia che ieri è caduta giù da anni la vedere passare in tutto il periodo che è in funzione.

E’ stato così anche ieri. Solo che ieri è stato testimone di una tragedy. Ha raccontato al Tgr of Campania what he saw.

“At around 15pm yesterday afternoon I saw the Monte Faito cabin descending and then I saw it sway, then almost be pulled back, torn by the cable that came from below and was moving frantically. Then when it reached the central pillar it jumped and crashed to the ground. At that point I thought about the people who were inside.”

He will probably have to repeat his story and his testimony to the police investigators, who are coordinated by Procuratorate of Torre Annunziata are leading the investigations about the tragedy.
