Castellammare, violent serial pickpocket arrested

A 30-year-old from Castellammare di Stabia was arrested, seriously suspected of snatching, robbery and personal injury.

He was arrested by the police of the local company, at the end of an investigative activity that reconstructed a series of episodes that occurred between October and November 2024.

According to what has been ascertained, also thanks to the investigations of the local police station, the man is said to have committed four snatch thefts and one robbery, all against women, in just two months.

In one case, while fleeing on a scooter, he also allegedly hit a sixth victim, causing injuries. The investigations were supported by the analysis of the footage from the video surveillance cameras located near the crime scenes and by the complaints filed by the victims.

Having gathered serious evidence against him, the 30-year-old, by order of the Torre Annunziata Prosecutor's Office, was arrested and, after completing the formal procedures, transferred to the Naples Poggioreale prison.
