Castellammare – The Carabinieri of the Operative and Radiomobile Nucleus and of the Castellammare di Stabia Station have arrested a 30-year-old local man, considered seriously suspected of having committed an armed robbery against a commercial establishment in the city.
The arrest occurred in execution of a custodial order issued by the investigating judge of the Torre Annunziata Court, at the request of the Oplontina Public Prosecutor's Office.
The contested facts date back to April 18, 2025, when the man - according to what was reconstructed by the investigators - entered the store disguised with a helmet and dark glasses, armed with a knife, and threatened the employees, forcing them to hand over the entire takings: 875 euros.
The footage from the video surveillance cameras, the victims' testimonies and the seizure of a helmet identical to the one used by the robber were crucial in identifying the alleged perpetrator, in addition to the recovery of part of the stolen goods, which occurred shortly after the robbery.
The investigations, coordinated by the Torre Annunziata Prosecutor's Office, led to the issuing of the precautionary measure based on serious evidence of guilt against the 30-year-old, who was also recognized by the operating military.
After the formal procedures, the man was transferred to the “Giuseppe Salvia” prison in Naples Poggioreale, where he remains at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
