Fisciano, woman found dead in bathtub: autopsy ordered

Tragedy in Fisciano, in the province of Salerno, where a 55-year-old woman was found lifeless inside the bathtub of her home.

The alarm was raised by some colleagues, worried about her unjustified absence from her workplace, a shop in Mercato San Severino, where she usually went every day.

The Carabinieri of the Mercato San Severino Company intervened on the spot together with the 118 health workers, who could do nothing but confirm the death. The investigations are ongoing: at the moment the most accredited hypothesis is that of a voluntary gesture, but the investigators do not exclude other leads.

The Prosecutor's Office has ordered an autopsy on the woman's body to clarify the exact causes of death. The results of the autopsy will be crucial to shed light on what happened.
