Saturday, May 17, the action starts at 10:30 with the guided tour “In the belly of Partenope” from Castel dell'Ovo to Piazza del Plebiscito, a breathtaking journey through myth and history curated by those who love ancient ruins. Reservations required at: events@maggiodipizzofalcone.it, and don't forget the ANM ticket for the Monte Echia lift (valid only with confirmation by email). Also on that day, from 10:15, there is the project “Open Doors to Beauty”, with a visit to the Egyptian Church of Pizzofalcone followed by a performance by the Coro dei Piccoli Cantori at 11, and then straight to the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli for a photography exhibition that could drive art fans crazy. Free admission, but be prepared for a wild crowd! At 11, at MUSAP – Palazzo Zapata, you can discover the hidden treasure of the Circolo Artistico Politecnico with a free guided tour; book at: segreteria@fondazionecircoloartistico.it or 081426543 – 3292654343 (confirmation required). From the afternoon, via Chiaia becomes a stage for the traveling show “Myths and Legends, the witches of Pizzofalcone”, with costumed re-enactors who play with Neapolitan superstition, mixing fun and a pinch of hysteria.
On Sunday, May 18, the adrenaline kicks off again with the repeat of the guided tour “Nel ventre di Partenope” at 10:30, along the same epic route from Castel dell'Ovo to Piazza del Plebiscito. For those who missed the tour the day before, it's the perfect opportunity to dive into folklore without restraint, while the exhibition “Il Borgo di Santa Lucia: la trasformazione e le tradizioni” remains open with free admission for those who want to poke around in photos and stories of the past.
The municipal councilors do not hold back and proudly declare: "All the events held so far have been completely sold out, recording an extraordinary turnout of public composed not only of Neapolitan citizens, but also of numerous tourists. This shows how the festival is now recognized as an important cultural event, capable of attracting interest and participation even beyond the boundaries of the neighborhood. We are proud of the warm response and enthusiasm with which the territory is experiencing each event of the program". And it doesn't end there: “Also this year, thanks to the support of the Department of Tourism of the Municipality of Naples, we have managed to give life to the Maggio di Pizzofalcone: a festival that not only confirms itself as a highly anticipated event, but increasingly represents a symbol of cultural rebirth, civic participation and identity pride for the entire city. The extraordinary participation of the territorial realities is the most vivid and powerful demonstration of how much this project is felt and desired by the citizens - declares the President of the Municipality. From the beginning we wanted to bring Pizzofalcone - the original heart of our city - back to the center of public attention. Today we can say it with force: this shared path is bearing concrete and tangible fruits. It is the passion, dedication and extraordinary energy of our community that make all this possible. And it will be precisely this energy that will guide us in the future too".
