An intervention by the Carabinieri Forestali brought to light serious urban planning violations in the Massa Lubrense countryside, in the Monticchio area, where illegal excavation work was underway to build a track and an illegal structure.

During a targeted check, the military personnel of the Carabinieri Forestale Nucleus of Castellammare di Stabia discovered:
A 21-meter long and 3-meter wide dirt ramp, built without permits
A temporary structure (chestnut poles and nylon covering) of 60 square meters, built in a restricted area. No documentation to justify the works
Two residents of Massa Lubrense have been reported to the Prosecutor's Office: a 71-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman.
The charges concern building abuses and defacement of natural beauty.
The works were seized, along with the entire affected area, to verify any damage to the hydrogeological balance.
The operation is part of the constant checks of the Carabinieri Forestale Group of Naples to prevent and repress environmental crimes. The investigations continue to ascertain further responsibilities.
