Mirabella Eclano, illegal discharge into the sewers: trader reported 

Mirabella Eclano – A 40-year-old businessman, owner of a business in the food sector in Mirabella Eclano, was reported at large by the Carabinieri of the Forestry Unit of Mirabella Eclano and by the military of the local station. The charge is of illegal discharge of industrial waste water.

The operation is part of the controls aimed at preventing and repressing environmental crimes. During the inspection, the Carabinieri found that the man, whose company deals with the processing and marketing of food products, was directly discharging industrial wastewater, deriving from the production cycle, into the public sewer system.

The main problem lies in the lack of the required authorization from the competent body, a fundamental requirement to ensure that the discharges do not compromise the environment and public health. The trader has been reported to the Avellino Prosecutor's Office, which will now have to evaluate the position of the suspect.
