Naples, Chiaia premises closed for 40 days: “Investigations into student beating hindered”

Naples – The Carabinieri of the Company of Bagnoli they ordered the closure for 40 days of a club in Chiaia, at the center of an investigation for the attack on a student on the night of February 1st in vicoletto Belledonne in Chiaia 2.

The measure, issued pursuant to Article 100 of the TULPS (Consolidated Law on Public Safety), affects the owner of the business, who is held responsible for having hindered investigations and ensured poor supervision, thus putting public order at risk.

The attack and the arrests: the background

The investigation, coordinated by the DDA of Naples, led already on April 7 to the execution of a precautionary order against three young people, seriously suspected of having attacked and threatened the student with mafia methods.

According to reconstructions, the episode would have occurred in the immediate vicinity of the club, today under the spotlight for the lack of collaboration of the management with the police.

The accusations against the owner: "Omissions and obstruction"

The entrepreneur is accused of:

Failure to adequately monitor the internal area of ​​the premises, thus contributing to the deterioration of safety;
Having implemented conduct aimed at obstructing the investigations of the Carabinieri, without providing useful elements for the reconstruction of the facts.
"The place has become a critical point for public order," investigative sources explain. "The owner ignored previous reports, allowing the area to become a scene of violence."

The measure: stop all activities for 40 days

The suspension of commercial activity, ordered by the public safety authority, will take effect immediately. A clear warning: zero tolerance towards those who, directly or indirectly, facilitate crime. In the meantime, the three suspects remain under house arrest awaiting trial.
