Naples, loses control of scooter and falls: 47-year-old dies in via Sant'Ignazio di Loyola

Naples – Tragedy this morning, Saturday 24 May, in Naples, where a 47-year-old man lost his life following a road accident that occurred on via Sant'Ignazio di Loyola, on the downhill stretch between via dell'Eremo and Largo Cangiani.

According to an initial reconstruction, the motorcyclist lost control of the vehicle for reasons yet to be ascertained, falling heavily onto the asphalt near number 236. The impact caused him serious injuries.

After alerting the emergency services, an ambulance from 118 arrived on the scene and transported the man in critical condition to the Cardarelli hospital. Despite the doctors' attempts, the 47-year-old died about an hour after being admitted.

The motorcycle was seized, while the body was made available to the judicial authorities. The agents of the Road Accident Unit of the Naples Local Police intervened on site, who carried out the surveys and started the investigations to clarify the dynamics of the incident.
