Naples prepares to celebrate the Scudetto: ASL activates emergency plan

Share

Naples – With Napoli one step away from winning their fourth Scudetto, which could arrive as early as this evening at the end of the last day of the championship, the ASL Napoli 1 Centro has prepared a health emergency plan to manage the wave of celebrations expected in the city.

The device, signed by the general director Ciro Verdoliva and by the head of 118 Giuseppe Galano, will come into force starting from 17:00 pm and provides for a widespread organization to guarantee the safety of citizens.

LARGE SCREENS AND FIRST AID: THE KEY POINTS

Based on the experience of 2023, when hundreds of thousands of people invaded the streets to celebrate the Italian triumph, the ASL has developed a 19-page plan that includes:
Nine “health points” located in key points of the city, including Piazza del Plebiscito, Piazza Mercato, Scampia (Piazza Giovanni Paolo II), Piazza del Gesù, Piazza Dante, Piazza Vittoria, Piazza Garibaldi and Piazzale Tecchio (Mostra d'Oltremare area).
Each station will be equipped with:

Two gazebos equipped with sunbeds and medical supplies

Independent lighting and air conditioning unit

A doctor, two nurses, an OSS and a security guard (some with motorbikes to clear the way for ambulances)

An ambulance with driver and nurse ready to intervene

118 STRENGTHENED: FOOT AND MOTORCYCLE RESCUE TEAMS

To manage any emergencies, the 118 service will be strengthened with:
Motorcycle ambulances equipped with defibrillators and first aid kits
Additional foot teams for rapid interventions
Dedicated number for coordination: 081.7338112

PREDICTION: INCREDIBLE CROWD, BUT NAPLES IS READY

"We expect hundreds of thousands of people on the streets, like two years ago," warn the ASL. The goal is to avoid critical situations and ensure immediate intervention in case of illness, trauma or problems related to overcrowding.

Now all that remains is to wait for the verdict on the pitch. If Napoli wins the championship, the city will explode with joy, but with a healthcare system ready to respond to any emergency.
