Avellino – Franco D'Ercole, a leading figure on the right in Campania and Irpinia, passed away in Avellino at the age of 79.
City Councilor of Avellino for several terms, regional councilor for fifteen years (1995-2010) and councilor for Productive Activities and Tourism in the Rastrelli government (1995-1999), D'Ercole has marked regional politics with a long militancy that began in the Italian Social Movement, continued in National Alliance alongside Gianfranco Fini and culminated in Brothers of Italy.
An exponent of great probity and dedication, his commitment to local communities has left a deep mark. Unanimous condolences from local, regional and national political representatives, who remember his integrity and concreteness. The funeral will be held tomorrow, May 22, at 15:30 pm, in the Santuario del Rosario in Avellino.
