Porta Capuana, caught selling drugs: police arrest 33-year-old

The extraordinary services arranged by the Police Headquarters continue Napoli to combat the phenomena of illegal possession of weapons and drug trafficking.

This morning, the State Police arrested a 33-year-old Nigerian, with a criminal record, including specific ones, for illicit possession of narcotics, assault and resisting a public official.

In particular, the officers of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, during the territorial control service, while passing through Piazza San Francesco in Capuana, noticed a man sitting on a bench who, in exchange for a banknote, gave something to a person who then hastily walked away.

The police officers, who promptly intervened to interrupt the criminal process, stopped the suspect, not without difficulty and after a struggle, finding him in possession of 2 packages of crack and 2 of cocaine.

For these reasons the suspect was arrested by the operating personnel.
