A hymn to poetry, art and love. This is the beating heart of the event scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, at 17:XNUMX pm at the Sala Teatro of the Istituto Comprensivo Don Bosco-D'Assisi in Torre del Greco. The initiative, with the evocative title "Peace, love and poetry", is organized by the Bricolage Association led by Salvatore De Chiara, in collaboration with the promotional committee of the International Poetry Award "Fratelli De Filippo".
During the evening, the announcement of the VIII edition of the award will be officially presented, which over the years has established itself as an important point of reference for poetry lovers in Italy and beyond. The event, sponsored by the Eduardo De Filippo Foundation and the Municipality of Torre del Greco, will be introduced by Mayor Luigi Mennella and will see the participation of personalities from the world of entertainment and culture.
Guests include journalist and writer Stella Cervasio, jazz guitarist Antonio Onorato, and singers Arianna Bottigliero and Leo Iezza, who will liven up the evening with musical interludes and poetry readings.
“An event that has brought prestige to the city of Torre del Greco for years – explains De Chiara – thanks to the commitment and dedication of a group united by their love for poetry”. The jury includes, among others, the president of the jury Maria Aurilia, the teachers Teresa Civitella and Leonarda Di Meo, and Dr. Romeo Simonetti.
New this year is the international opening of the competition: “We translated the announcement to reach foreign poets as well”, reveals the organizer, anticipating that not only poets will be awarded, but also young emerging actors and actresses, as happened in past editions.
The event is free and open to the public. A true opportunity for those who wish to immerse themselves in an afternoon of reflection, art and the beauty of words. “We are proud of the goals achieved – concludes De Chiara – and we are ready to take the message of this award even further."
