Salerno, stolen gun hidden in transport company: 33-year-old arrested

A 7,65 caliber Beretta semi-automatic pistol, reported stolen in early 2024 in the province of Potenza, was found inside the headquarters of a transport company in the Salerno area.

It was discovered during a search on May 9th by agents from the Salerno Flying Squad and the Police Station of Sarno, who arrested the owner of the business, a 33-year-old, for illegal possession of a firearm.

The weapon was hidden in a plastic bag, inside a desk drawer. The man was also reported for receiving stolen goods. The investigating judge of the Court of Salerno validated the arrest, ordering the measure of house arrest against him.
