Journalist arrested in Sorrento suspended from the Order of Journalists

NAPLES – The Campania Order of Journalists has suspended with immediate effect Francesco Di Maio, a publicist arrested as part of the investigation into alleged rigged tenders in Sorrento, which also involved the mayor Massimo Coppola.
The president of the regional Order, Ottavio Lucarelli, signed the provision based on article 54 of law 69 of 1963, after the arrest in flagrante for the crime provided for by article 319 quater of the penal code (undue inducement to give or promise benefits), carried out on the orders of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Torre Annunziata.
Di Maio was part of the mayor's staff.
