Trecase, e-bike crashes into a wall: 67-year-old dies instantly

Trecase – A 67-year-old pensioner lost his life this morning in a tragic accident that occurred along Via Casa Cirillo, in the heart of the Vesuvian centre of trecase.

According to initial reports, the man was speeding along the downhill road on his electric bicycle when, for reasons still being investigated by law enforcement, he lost control of the vehicle, crashing into a wall.

The impact, the violence of which was also confirmed by the images recorded by the video surveillance systems present in the area, did not involve other vehicles.

The Carabinieri of the Torre Annunziata Radiomobile section and the Trecase station, together with the municipal police officers, immediately intervened on the scene of the tragedy to carry out the necessary surveys and reconstruct the exact dynamics of the incident.

The victim, originally from Sulmona but resident in Scafati, died instantly due to the trauma suffered in the impact. After the usual checks and scientific findings, the body was returned to the family at the request of the investigators and the magistrate on duty.

The factors that led the 67-year-old to lose control of his e-bike in what turned out to be a fatal descent remain to be clarified.
