Maddaloni, 47-year-old arrested for mistreatment and robbery against his sister

Maddaloni – A 47-year-old local man was arrested yesterday by the Carabinieri of Maddaloni on charges of mistreatment within the family and robbery, after having repeatedly attacked and threatened his sister on the same day.

The woman, exasperated by the continued violence, requested the intervention of the police.

The soldiers of the Radiomobile Section of the Maddaloni Company, who arrived at the victim's home, surprised the man while, clutching the cell phone he had just stolen from his sister, he continued to rant against her. After calming him down, the Carabinieri took him to the barracks and arrested him.

The investigations revealed a pattern of repeated physical and psychological abuse, perpetrated by the man against his sister in recent times. On the same morning yesterday, the 47-year-old, for trivial reasons, allegedly broke down the front door of the woman's home, ransacked the apartment and stole her car keys and 10 euros, before leaving.

Having returned in the afternoon, he committed yet another attack, taking possession of the victim's telephone.

The arrested man was transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison, where he remains at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
