Naples – The Prefecture of Naples has dealt a new blow to organized crime. Prefect Michele di Bari has issued five anti-mafia interdictions against as many companies, with headquarters in the municipalities of Naples, villaricca, Arzano and Giugliano in Campania. The measures aim to counter mafia infiltration in the local economy.
The affected companies operate in key and varied sectors: catering and bars, construction, wholesale of paints and building products, and cleaning, custodial, security, gardening and parking services.
These measures, as underlined in a note from the Prefecture, are part of an intense anti-mafia prevention activity. This operation was launched with the constant support of the Police and the Anti-mafia Investigation Division (DIA) in recent days.
The Prefecture reiterated its commitment to providing a valid contrast to the pollution of the healthy economy by companies exploited or influenced by organized crime.
The objective is twofold: to safeguard economic public order and free competition between businesses, and to guarantee the proper functioning of the Public Administration, protecting it from attempts at infiltration and conditioning.
The adoption of these prohibitions demonstrates the constant vigilance of the authorities in protecting the legal economic fabric of the Neapolitan territory.
