Assomusica, always committed to the promotion of live music, promotes and supports the research project developed by theObservatory on the Music Industry and Events ofSapienza University of Rome, activated at the Department of Communication and Social Research.
The research project aims to analyze the production and organizational chain of contemporary popular music festivals and wants to reconstruct an overview of the musical offering, making available to the sector - and the institutions that regulate it - updated reading tools.
Starting from representative case studies, on which in-depth research and interviews will be conducted, the aim is to analyse the organisational models adopted, map actors and relationships, and identify indicators useful for the future measurement of the economic, social and cultural impacts of contemporary popular music festivals in the territories where they are organised.
Support for research is part of the association's activities and social campaign “The Summer of Assomusica”, and will focus on the 2025 summer season, the beating heart of entertainment activity: festivals, reviews and concerts that not only enliven the cultural life of the country, but generate work, tourism and economic growth.
For Assomusica, telling the story of the supply chain means valorizing the work of those who make the unique concert experience possible: from the workers to the organizers, from the local administrations to the local businesses. A project that confirms the association's commitment to promoting a shared and sustainable vision for the future of live music in Italy.
