10-Year-Old Girl Drowns in Piave River While Bathing
Tragedy at the Piave River for a Ten-Year-Old Girl
Trevised – An afternoon of fun turned into tragedy today on the banks of the Piave River, in the San Giacomo area of Pederobba. A 10-year-old girl, of Macedonian origin, drowned while bathing with her brothers.
His body was recovered only a short while ago by divers from the Fire fightersThe accident occurred around 16pm. The little girl was with her family to spend an afternoon in the open air along the riverThe exact circumstances of the drowning are still being investigated by authorities.
Rescue teams arrived immediately, but unfortunately there was nothing that could be done for the little girl. The news left the community in despair and rekindled attention on safety in waterways, especially during the summer season.
