Pozzuoli – The Campi Flegrei area continues to show signs of seismic and geological activity. According to the weekly bulletin of the Vesuvius Observatory of the INGV, between 16 and 22 June 2025, 58 earthquakes were recorded, with a maximum magnitude of 3.2.
Of these, 18 events exceeded magnitude 1. A seismic swarm, which began at 23 pm on June 20, involved the Pozzuoli area with 28 tremors.
The most significant phenomenon concerns the uplift of the ground, which has reached 2024 centimeters since January 29. After an acceleration recorded between February and March 2025, with an average increase of 30 mm per month, since April the pace has stabilized at about 15 mm per month.
According to the director of the Vesuvian Observatory, Mauro Di Vito, the activity continues, and since 2005 the soil he rose 146 centimeters.
On the geochemical front, INGV does not detect significant variations in the flows and heating of the hydrothermal system. The average temperature recorded by a sensor near the main fumarole of Pisciarelli is 94°C, close to the condensation point of the fumarolic fluid

The situation remains under constant monitoring.
