Caserta – Yesterday morning, June 3, the Guardia di Finanza soldiers of Caserta they executed a house arrest custody order against two individuals, seriously suspected of usury and extortion against a Caserta businessman.
The operation, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Caserta, represents the outcome of a complex investigation that lasted over six months, resulting from the complaint filed by the victim at the Corps department.
The investigations, conducted by the Guardia di Finanza Group of Caserta, made use of telephone and telematic interceptions, observation, control, shadowing and bank analysis activities.
Investigators have reconstructed a system of usurious loans orchestrated by the two suspects, one resident in the Naples area and the other in the province of Caserta. The victim, an entrepreneur looking for immediate liquidity, was allegedly forced to accept interest rates well above the limit set by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. According to what emerged, the two allegedly disbursed approximately 1,5 million euros in three years, demanding monthly payments between 5.000 and 20.000 euros.
