Napoli – The eclectic Neapolitan artist Ciccio Merolla is ready to set the summer alight with his new single, “'O sole mio si' tu”, available on the radio and all digital platforms from June 13 (Jescesole/Belive).

The song promises to be a hymn to inner light, a journey through fast-paced rhythms, rebirth and the unmistakable Neapolitan passion.

An anthem to inner energy: more than a love song

“'O sole mio si' tu” is much more than a simple love song. It is a celebration of the energy that lives in each of us, a sun that “knows no sunset,” that “vibrates inside, warms the soul and gives rhythm to our dreams.”

Ciccio Merolla signs a piece that is an explosion of vitality, an invitation to rediscover oneself through the cathartic power of music.

“It’s not just a dedication to a loved one,” says Merolla, “but an invitation to recognize that sun that each of us has inside. Sometimes it burns, sometimes it seems far away… but it’s always worth looking for.”

Roots and Vision: The Sound That Unites Naples and South America

Already from the title, an affectionate homage to the most famous Neapolitan musical tradition, the song reveals its dual soul: one rooted in tradition and one projected towards an innovative vision. “'O sole mio si' tu” is a sonic embrace that speaks of rebirth and of that “inner fire” that keeps us alive even in the darkest moments.

The sound is a concentrate of the artistic universe of Merolla, which blends South American breath with its deep Neapolitan soul. Warm percussions, Latin vibrations, and Neapolitan roots intertwine in an engaging mix.

Congas, bongos and claves blend with modern sounds, creating a sound journey that invites both physical movement and inner listening. The arrangements and production are signed, together with Merolla, by Francesco Garramone and Pietro Scalera, musicians who share vision and passion with the artist.

“Rhythm can take you far,” says Merolla, “but it always brings you home. This song comes from a deep need: to tell the authentic desire to change, to improve, to light up again.”

Ciccio Merolla: the heir of Gegè Di Giacomo and symbol of rebirth

Considered one of the most eclectic and beloved artists of the contemporary Neapolitan music scene, Ciccio Merolla boasts over twenty years of career. An extraordinary percussionist, author, singer and actor, he is recognized by critics and the public as one of the most authentic heirs of Gegè Di Giacomo. His stylistic signature is characterized by rhythmic contaminations, urban poetry and a rare ability to merge body and spirit in music.

With his successes, Merolla has been able to excite, tell the lights and shadows of Naples, make people dance and inspire a positive model of life, making his music a symbol of collective awakening. Today, with “'O sole mio si' tu'”, he relaunches an even deeper message: the invitation to seek that vital push, that energy that pushes us to love life and to choose every day to be our own light.

“We talk a lot about the Mozart effect, but there is also a Naples effect: rhythm, truth, life. Music doesn't tell you what to do. It accompanies you. It rekindles you, if you let it. 'O sole mio si' tu' is just this: a hand stretched out towards the light. The inner light”, conclude the promoters of the song
