Monteforte Irpino, elderly doctor missing since yesterday: search underway

Monteforte Irpino – The search for Antonio Noviello, an 87-year-old cardiologist who disappeared yesterday afternoon after venturing into the woods in search of mushrooms, is still without results. The man, a resident of Monteforte Irpino, he had left home and never returned.

His car was found parked on the side of the road, in Portella, a mountainous area of ​​the territory. From that moment on, rescue operations were activated, involving dozens of volunteers, together with specialized units of the Fire Brigade and Alpine Rescue.

Drones were also used to facilitate the search operations, but at the moment there was no trace of the elderly doctor. Family members and friends report that Noviello knew the area well and was used to frequenting those paths.

Operations continue without stopping in the hope of finding him as soon as possible.
