Naples, petrol station attendants stabbed in Arenella: two young men arrested

Naples – On behalf of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the State Police executed an arrest warrant against two young men, seriously suspected of attempted aggravated robbery and double attempted murder.

The operation was the result of a complex investigative activity conducted by the Flying Squad and the agents of the Arenella Police Station, following a brutal attack that took place last night at a petrol station in the hilly district of Arenella.

According to the reconstruction of police the two suspects allegedly broke into the service area, threatening two employees with a gun, which later turned out to be a replica, and then proceeded to physically assault them with a knife. Both victims suffered serious injuries and were treated by hospital doctors.

The arrest is a precautionary measure, which will be subject to validation by the judicial authority.
