Stabiese Pio Esposito: “Inter my dream, ready to give everything”

From Castellammare di Stabia to Seattle, through eleven years of sweat and passion in the Inter youth teams. Francesco Pio Esposito experienced the night he had been waiting for his whole life: his debut in the first team.

It happened in the Club World Cup semi-final against Urawa Red Diamonds, when the Nerazzurri coach called him onto the field in place of his brother Sebastiano. A symbol, a signal, a moment that smells of destiny. “I'm proud, a dream I've been chasing since I was a child and wore this shirt in the youth teams”, says Pio with shining eyes and the determined voice of someone who is never satisfied.

Now his thoughts turn to the challenge against River Plate. And he wants to be there, even if only for a minute, ready to leave every drop of sweat on the pitch: “I will give everything, always. Every training session, every ball. The goal? Another dream to chase”. With him, there is Sebastiano. Roommates, brothers in the field, allies in life. “We talk, we don’t just talk about football, but he gives me useful advice: he’s been there before, he knows what it means to make his debut with this shirt”.
