Torre del Greco, he beats the victim of theft to make him withdraw the complaint: 28-year-old arrested

Torre del Greco – The State Police arrested a 28-year-old in Torre del Greco today, seriously suspected of the crimes of personal injury and private violence. The man is accused of having threatened and brutally attacked a victim to force her to withdraw a complaint filed previously.

The arrest occurred in execution of an order of precautionary custody under house arrest with an electronic bracelet, issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Torre Annunziata at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office.

The story began on November 13, when the victim reported the theft of his Honda SH motorcycle. Thanks to a location detection system installed on the vehicle, the officers of the Torre del Greco Police Station traced the home of the man arrested today.

Here, a screen was seized that the victim had recognized without a doubt as part of his stolen motorcycle, leading to the 28-year-old being charged with receiving stolen goods.

A few days later, on December 19, 2024, the same victim reported having suffered a brutal attack by a person who demanded the withdrawal of the complaint for the theft. Due to the serious injuries sustained in theaggression, the injured party had been forced to seek treatment at the Maresca emergency room, receiving a 30-day prognosis.

The investigations conducted by the agents of the Torre del Greco Police Station focused on the episode of the assault. Thanks to the analysis of the city surveillance cameras and the statements of some witnesses present on the spot, the investigators were able to identify with certainty the attacker. The identity corresponded precisely to the individual who a few days earlier had been reported for receiving stolen goods.

These circumstantial elements, combined with other significant evidence, allowed the Public Prosecutor's Office to request and obtain the restrictive measure against the suspect, identified, with high probability, as the author of the brutal attack.

After the formal procedures, the 28-year-old was taken to his home, where he will serve house arrest with electronic bracelet monitoring.
