Tragedy in Ascea: Tourist Dies from Illness in Pool

Ascea – A tragedy has shaken a renowned tourist facility ascea, in Cilento. A tourist originally from Reggio Emilia died yesterday after being struck by a sudden illness while he was in the pool. Attempts to resuscitate him were in vain: there was nothing that could be done for the man.

The episode occurred under the dismayed eyes of the other guests present. The man, on vacation with a group of tourists from Emilia, had just dived into the pool when he felt ill.

The alarm was raised immediately: a 118 ambulance with personnel from the Misericordia di Omignano rushed to the scene, followed by a medical car. Despite resuscitation maneuvers, the paramedics could only confirm the death.

The tragedy has shocked the local community and holidaymakers. Authorities are investigating to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
