Avellino, tries to steal money from partner: prohibition to approach is triggered

Avellino – Another case of mistreatment and aggression against a woman, this time in the middle of the street, in the province of Avellino. The Carabinieri intervened promptly, stopping a man who was trying to snatch the bag from his partner to steal 50 euros.

The episode took place when the officers of the Lauro Police Station arrested a 41-year-old from Pago del Vallo di Lauro. What makes the story even more alarming is that the man had already been reported for mistreatment in the past, and despite this, the couple had resumed living together

According to the victim's testimony, her partner used to constantly ask her for money and abused alcohol, which made him irritable and aggressive. A spiral of domestic violence that, unfortunately, represents daily life for many women in the country.

At the request of the Avellino Public Prosecutor's Office, the Preliminary Investigations Judge (GIP) ordered the man to remain at home and, fundamental for the protection of the victim, to be prohibited from approaching the injured party.

This latest episode highlights the persistent scourge of daily abuse that too many women suffer within their homes, and which in some cases, like this one, leads to public attacks. Law enforcement and institutions continue to work to combat this phenomenon and offer support to victims.
