Lina Nyberg and Daniel Karlsson's Jazz Conquers Capri

Capri opens its terraces to Northern European jazz. On Friday, July 4, at 20:XNUMX p.m., the sunset at Villa San Michele will be the backdrop for the third concert of the “A Summer to Dream” series, which welcomes for the first time to the island the duo formed by Lina Nyberg and Daniel Karlsson, two of the most internationally acclaimed Swedish musicians.

After the baroque atmospheres of the previous weeks, the program veers decisively towards contemporary and vibrant sound territories. On the panoramic stage of the villa, overlooking the Mediterranean, the eclectic voice of Nyberg – considered one of the most refined and original interpreters of the Scandinavian jazz scene – will meet the fluid and inspired piano of Karlsson, already celebrated by critics as one of the most brilliant talents of his generation.

The concert program draws from the duo album The Night and the Music, produced by Prophone/Naxos, and also includes a heartfelt tribute to Kurt Weill, with new versions of classics such as Surabaya Johnny e Lonely House, along with jazz standards and original compositions by Lina Nyberg. The result is a musical flow that intertwines melancholy and improvisation, lyricism and avant-garde, led by two artists in perfect harmony.

The event is part of the review curated by Bo Löfvendahl with the support of Progetto Piano and the patronage of the Swedish Embassy. An event that is not just a concert, but a sensory experience: between sky, sea and notes, the island becomes the stage for a dream in music.

Tickets are available in advance every day from 9 am to 18 pm, or directly at the box office half an hour before the show. The return to Naples is also planned with the last ferry ride, for those arriving from the continent and who do not want to miss the opportunity of a Capri night dedicated to musical excellence.
