Serie A conquers the English-speaking market with DAZN
Serie A is preparing to conquer new global stages. With an agreement that marks a further leap in quality in the international strategy, DAZN has acquired the rights – exclusive and otherwise – to transmit the main competitions of the Serie A League in key markets of US, UK and Ireland, thus bringing Italian football into the heart of the English-speaking world.
From the 2025 / 26 season, football fans from across the Channel and overseas will be able to follow Serie A, Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup live streaming on the platform. In United Kingdom and Ireland, DAZN will broadcast up to eight matches exclusively for each round of the championship, with two matches in co-exclusive, for a total of over 300 matches. The only exception is the matches played in the so-called "blackout window" on Saturday, which cannot be broadcast in full. This is the first time in which one major European football competition is offered live to the British public, opening an unprecedented channel of visibility for Italian football.
In United States, the operation is aimed directly at the Spanish-speaking public. Five matches per day will be broadcast exclusively and another five in co-exclusive, all with commentary in Spanish and a specific programming designed for the Latin and Caribbean public. All matches will be visible live, without any restrictions.
The agreement also includes the Global Highlights Distribution: short clips of two or three minutes will be available one hour after the final whistle in almost all countries in the world, strengthening the media presence of the Italian teams. The new territories announced today are added to those already covered by the previous agreements signed by DAZN in Spain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Japan, where Serie A will continue to be broadcast at least until 2027.
Satisfied Pete Oliver, CEO of Growth Markets at DAZN, who underlines: “Serie A is one of the most prestigious leagues in the world and our partnership with the League continues to grow as we become the leading broadcaster in Italy. This agreement consolidates our position as a global football platform and comes in a special year, that of the 2025 Club World Cup”.
