Vico Equense, 19-year-old drug dealer arrested

Vico Equense – The Carabinieri of the Sorrento Company arrested this morning a 19-year-old from Vico Equense, accused of possession and dealing of narcotic substances.

The young man, reached by a house arrest order issued by the GIP of the Court of Torre Annunziata at the request of the Prosecutor's Office, is seriously suspected of three episodes of illicit drug trafficking.

The investigations started on October 13, 2024, when the Carabinieri of the Mobile Radio Operations Unit intervened in the young man's home following a violent argument with his mother.

During the check, the soldiers found two ovules of hashish, a precision scale, material for packaging the doses and cash, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.

The analysis of the 19-year-old's cell phone was crucial to the investigation: in the photo gallery, images of suspicious substances were found, identified as hashish, marijuana and cocaine, sent in conversations with various contacts.

The forensic examination of the smartphone, cross-referencing images, chats and the identities of the interlocutors, allowed us to reconstruct a solid accusatory framework, confirming the retail drug dealing activity.

After the formal procedures, the young man was placed under house arrest at his home. Investigations are continuing to clarify any further connections in the network of the shop in the Sorrento peninsula.
