Bacoli: Unconvicted drug dealers on the loose: three young men arrested

Bacoli – The profile is that of the unsuspecting: young, with no criminal record, seemingly untouched by criminal activity. Yet it is precisely in this segment that an increasingly evident phenomenon is taking hold: drug dealing, entrusted to young people with no criminal record, often attracted by the prospect of easy money or forced by the lack of work.

A system that, according to investigators, is never autonomous, but remains embedded in broader networks linked to organized crime, which continues to manage and direct drug trafficking even in the most ordinary urban contexts.

Street control

The incident occurred this afternoon in Bacoli, along Via Mercato di Sabato. Carabinieri officers from the Pozzuoli branch, conducting a patrol, noticed three young men acting suspiciously.

The boys, aged between 18 and 22, appeared particularly agitated at the sight of the soldiers, an attitude which prompted an immediate search.

Drugs and cash on him

The search yielded an immediate positive result: several doses of hashish and several small-denomination banknotes were found in the pockets of the three, deemed consistent with retail drug dealing.

This initial finding led the Carabinieri to further investigate.

House searches

The operations extended to the homes of the young people, all with no criminal record: a university student, a worker and an unemployed person.
Here, the officers found additional narcotics, cash, and packaging materials. The total amount seized was 216 grams of hashish and 870 euros believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity.

The three were arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute narcotics. They were transferred to prison and will now face legal proceedings.
This story confirms a well-established fact: behind ordinary faces and ordinary stories, there is increasingly hidden a structured criminal network, ready to recruit young, clean workers to fuel the drug market.
