Naples - A serious episode of violence has shaken the historic center of Naples, the heart of the city's nightlife, where yesterday morning a 33-year-old man was wounded by a gunshot on Via San Sebastiano. In response to the incident, the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, ordered an immediate increase in security throughout the affected area.

Already the subject of intensified security planning, the historic center will now see further high-impact operations and specific initiatives against the so-called "bad nightlife." The actions will be coordinated jointly by the police forces, the local police, and the Naples Metropolitan Police.

The detailed strategy will be discussed at the next Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety. The Prefect of Bari emphasized the State's commitment to firmly combating such incidents of violence, reiterating that protecting the law and citizens' safety is an absolute priority.
