Allegri wins over the fans: "Next year we'll be back here to celebrate a trophy."

From the stage at the club's centennial celebration, Napoli's new coach paid tribute to the club's history and the city. He then sent a message to the fans: "I promise professionalism and integrity." The goal is to lead the team back to celebrating new successes.

The city's embrace of the new coach

Napoli's centenary celebrations also became the first major embrace between Massimiliano Allegri and the Azzurri fans. On the stage in Piazza del Plebiscito, in front of thousands of fans who had gathered to celebrate the club's centennial, the coach chose words that extolled the bond between the team and the city, drawing prolonged applause.

The coach emphasized the symbolic value of the club's achievement, calling it a legacy that belongs not only to football, but to the entire Neapolitan community.

"The centenary belongs to all of Naples."

"The centenary is a legacy not only for Napoli football, but for the entire city, for so many generations who have lived through good and bad times," says Allegri, recalling how the club's history is closely intertwined with that of its fans.

The coach then highlighted what he considers the greatest quality of the Neapolitan people: "The strength of Neapolitans is their ability to get back up and return to victory." A move that was enthusiastically welcomed by the crowd in the square.

The promise to the fans

Having just arrived on the Azzurri bench and still busy with the team in their pre-season retreat, Allegri says he was touched by the affection he's received.

"The love and passion I've felt in these first few days, even though we're still in retreat, are remarkable," explains the coach, promising maximum commitment to the new sporting project.

The promise is clear: "I can guarantee great professionalism and great reliability in achieving our goals."

The dream of a new trophy

The most emotional moment comes at the end of the speech, when Allegri looks to the future and sends a message that ignites the fans' enthusiasm.

"We hope to be here together next year to celebrate some trophies," the coach concluded to the applause of a packed Piazza del Plebiscito, transforming the centenary celebration into the first event of a season that Napoli supporters hope will bring Napoli back to the pinnacle of Italian and European football.
