Striano: Finger gun used to avoid paying for B&B
Striano – He attempted to leave a bed and breakfast without paying his bill, resorting to a threat as unusual as it was ineffective. The perpetrator of the incident is a 28-year-old man from San Gennaro Vesuviano who, when paying for his stay at a Striano accommodation, pretended to hold a gun by hiding his hand under his shirt.
With a gesture imitating a firearm, the young man allegedly tried to intimidate the business owner into avoiding payment.
The businessman, however, remained calm and immediately realized it was a fake gun, made simply from the position of the fingers. While trying to prevent the situation from escalating, he let the customer leave without reacting and contacted the Carabinieri to report the incident.
The military personnel from the Striano station quickly began their investigations, managing to identify the alleged perpetrator.
The 28-year-old, a resident of San Gennaro Vesuviano, was reported to the judicial authorities and will face charges of aggravated domestic violence.
