A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Central Tyrrhenian Sea Port Authority and the Order of Chartered Accountants of Naples to strengthen port and maritime development. The goal is to transform the Port of Naples into a modern and competitive Mediterranean hub, with the America's Cup as a driver of growth.

Naples focuses on the port: a new agreement between the Port Authority and accountants is underway to boost the maritime economy.
Naples strengthens its strategic role in the Mediterranean thanks to an agreement signed between the Central Tyrrhenian Sea Port Authority and the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Naples. The memorandum of understanding, signed at the accountants' headquarters in Piazza dei Martiri, aims to promote maritime culture and economy, develop professional skills, and foster collaborations in the ports, maritime, logistics, and inland ports sectors.
Eliseo Cuccaro, President of the Port Authority, emphasized the importance of the agreement: "With this agreement, we are strengthening a strategic collaboration that enhances the contribution of accountants, who are essential to supporting the local business system. The Port of Naples has completed the work required by the PNRR and has new resources to continue evolving, becoming a modern and efficient infrastructure capable of meeting the needs of commercial and tourist traffic."
Matteo De Lise, president of the Naples Association of Accountants, emphasized how the port represents the region's economic engine: "Cuccaro's work is a step in the right direction to make the port a starting point for the city's growth. The America's Cup is an important spark, but we must look beyond, aiming for a stable and lasting revival. The port of Naples is the most important in Southern Italy, and its reorganization will have a significant impact on the entire region."
The agreement thus opens up new prospects for port-related infrastructural and professional development, with particular attention to investment opportunities and the positive impact on the local and regional economy.
