Drug dealing at home in front of police: pusher arrested and user placed under house arrest

Sant'Antonio Abate – “We're coming, come out”: this time the pusher's delivery message arrived at the wrong time.

The Carabinieri were waiting for the drug dealer of a prisoner under house arrest and arrested the pusher for dealing and the user for escaping from house arrest.

It happened in Sant'Antonio Abate, in the province of Naples, where the military of the local station arrested Sabato Calabrese, 36, and Salvatore Schettino, 19, from Gragnano, accused respectively of evading house arrest and drug dealing.

The two were discovered by the delivery message on WhatsApp: "We're coming, come out."

The Carabinieri were patrolling the area when they noticed Calabrese outside his home despite being under house arrest. The man tried to explain his presence in the street because of the heat, but his excuse didn't hold water. Just as he was speaking to the Carabinieri, Calabrese's phone lit up with a WhatsApp message. The text was unmistakable: "We're coming, come out."

The pusher's signal reached the recipient loud and clear, as did the Carabinieri. The dealer arrived at the door a few minutes later. The 19-year-old arrived on a scooter with a friend his age. By the time they spotted the officers, it was already too late. Schettino tried to get rid of the drugs, but the Carabinieri stopped the motorbike and recovered over 8 grams of hashish.

Calabrese was charged with evasion and placed under house arrest again pending trial. A house search was conducted on Schettino, and the police found another 91 grams of hashish, a precision scale, and packaging materials.

The 19-year-old was arrested, the accomplice who was with him on the motorbike was reported.
