Two men arrested during attempted burglary in Soccavo

Overnight in Soccavo, two men, aged 36 and 33, were arrested by the State Police on charges of aggravated residential burglary. Officers from the Pianura and Posillipo police stations, during a territorial patrol, responded to Via dell'Epomeo after receiving a report of a burglary in progress.

Upon arriving at the scene, they found the two suspects attempting to flee down the building's stairs, in possession of burglary tools. Subsequent investigations revealed that the front door latch had been jammed, and, together with the firefighters, the police managed to enter the apartment, where every room was completely ransacked.

The two men, both with criminal records, were subsequently arrested. Investigations are continuing to determine whether the pair of thieves are responsible for other thefts in the area.
