The goods seized by the Guardia di Finanza
Naples - During summer inspections across the country, officers from the Naples Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza seized more than 3,4 million products deemed unsafe and potentially harmful to consumers.
The operation involved three businesses in the San Lorenzo neighborhood. Finance officers from the 2nd Metropolitan Operations Unit discovered that the items—mostly costume jewelry, beads, hair and nail decorations intended for skin contact—were being offered for sale without the mandatory information on safety, composition, and quality required by law.
According to investigations, these objects can cause allergic reactions or skin irritation. The three managers of the businesses, of Bangladeshi origin, have been reported to the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Crafts, and Agriculture of Naples for the application of the administrative fines provided for by the Consumer Code.
