Naples: A beagle found on the ring road: police rescue the dog.

A beagle was wandering alone in a lay-by on the Naples ring road, clearly agitated and threatening to cause traffic disruption. State Police officers intervened, recovered the animal and secured the area.

The report prompted officers to intervene, and they located the dog inside the parking area. Its condition and position posed a potential danger to passing motorists.

The Naples Highway Operations Center then activated the procedure to entrust the beagle to a specialized company, responsible for its recovery and custody.

Subsequent investigations, however, revealed something that made it more difficult to reconstruct the dog's history: the beagle lacked an identifying microchip. This made it impossible for investigators to trace its owner.

The dog was then taken into custody, while investigations continue to clarify its origins and, above all, to determine whether it is possible to trace its foster parent.
