Peppe Iodice's films will also be featured in the "Segreti d'Autore" program, the festival conceived by Ruggero Cappuccio and directed by Nadia Baldi, scheduled for Sunday, August 9th at Palazzo Coppola in Valle-Sessa Cilento, in the province of Salerno.
The evening will be dedicated to Mi batte il corazon, a film starring Peppe Iodice and inspired by the narrative structure of the stage play Ho visto Maradona. The screening will be preceded, at 21 pm, by a discussion with director Francesco Prisco and screenwriter Marco Critelli.
The film centers on a man suffering a heart attack who, according to the plot, comes back to life on the very day of his funeral. In the neighborhood, the event is attributed to the miraculous intercession of Diego Maradona. From here, a story unfolds, intertwined with comical situations, emergencies, "red codes" and "green lights," all the while reflecting on the near-death experience, the so-called NDE, and the consequences it can have.
From 18 to 19 pm, you can also watch Revolution, or R3V@LUT1@N, a thriller by Corrado Ardone. Using virtual reality headsets, viewers will be immersed in a sensory journey that will immerse them in the story, becoming an integral part of the narrative experience.
Also at Palazzo Coppola, from 18 to 20 pm, two exhibitions will be open. The first is Herlitzka's Room, curated by director Nadia Baldi and dedicated to the great actor who passed away two years ago. The second, curated by Antonella Romano, is inspired by the theme "When the Child Was a Child."
Participation in all festival events is by reservation only. Requests must be sent to comunicazione@festivalsegretidautore.it, indicating the chosen event, the number of seats, and the names and surnames of participants.
To access your appointments, you will need to show the staff your booking confirmation receipt, either in paper format or directly from an electronic device.
