Campi Flegrei: New meeting of the Rescue Coordination Center

This morning at 10:00 a.m., a new meeting of the Relief Coordination Center is scheduled at the Naples Prefecture, convened by Prefect Michele di Bari following the powerful earthquake that struck the Campi Flegrei area. The meeting will bring together mayors, law enforcement, civil protection, and other stakeholders involved in managing the emergency to review the situation and coordinate ongoing operations.

Structural checks on the buildings affected by the earthquake continued in the last few hours. During the night, the Fire Department evacuated a total of 22 families: 18 on Via Sannino and another 4 on Via San Vitagliano, to ensure the safety of their residents.

Meanwhile, as a precautionary measure, the port of Pozzuoli will remain closed until further notice. The Central Tyrrhenian Sea Port Authority is preparing an ordinance to close off the state-owned maritime areas beneath the rocky cliffs, to protect public safety.

Institutions continue to carefully monitor the situation, urging the public to follow the instructions provided by the competent authorities and remain calm.
