Phlegraean Fields, Fico: "While waiting for the government decree, no one will be left alone."

"The government decree is expected today, we'll see." Campania Region President Roberto Fico addresses the emergency in the Phlegraean Fields and assures the institutions of their full commitment to addressing the consequences of the earthquake that struck the area, with hundreds of people displaced and numerous buildings undergoing inspections.

Fico explained that the measure being considered by the Council of Ministers will address several aspects, from grants for independent development to funding for building safety measures. "We have asked to address some critical issues that arose with the previous decree," the governor clarified, emphasizing the importance of dialogue between local authorities and the government.

"We're working hard to address this issue: institutional dialogue is essential to expedite all procedures and create a better time for citizens," Fico added, emphasizing the need for rapid responses for the population of the Phlegraean Fields.

The regional president then recalled the coordination meeting held with the Prefecture, the fire department, and the EAV (Energy and Environmental Protection Agency) to monitor ongoing operations. "We are working hard to ensure maximum efficiency and safety for the population," he stated, explaining that attention also remains focused on temporary housing solutions for those unable to return to their homes.

"We're trying to be there for them to find accommodation and independent living. We'll gradually work towards a solution," Fico added, addressing residents of Pozzuoli and the affected municipalities directly.

"The institutions are here, they're working tirelessly, and no one will be left alone," concluded the regional president, reiterating his commitment to supporting the region through the emergency management phase and subsequent safety measures.
