Praiano is taking the international stage and becoming the symbol of an Amalfi Coast increasingly appreciated for its authenticity. The seaside village was ranked first in the list of the 20 most beautiful villages in the world published by Condé Nast Traveler, one of the most authoritative international travel magazines.

The article, titled The 20 Most Beautiful Towns in the World for Every Type of Traveler, ranks the coastal town in Campania ahead of highly enchanting places such as Biei, Japan, and Baños, Ecuador, confirming the destination's global appeal.

An award for the authenticity of the Coast

In justifying its choice, the American magazine describes Praiano as a place capable of offering an authentic experience of the Amalfi Coast, far from the frenzy of the more crowded destinations but just minutes from Positano.

Among the elements that captivated the editorial team were the beaches of Gavitella and Marina di Praia, the church of San Gennaro, the characteristic majolica tiles, the historical heritage, and the landscape that has always been a symbol of Italy throughout the world.

Inclusion in the prestigious ranking represents important recognition for a village that in recent years has focused on enhancing its environmental and cultural heritage.

Andrea Ferraioli, president of the Amalfi Coast Tourist District, expressed his satisfaction, saying that the recognition extends far beyond the confines of a single municipality.

"This is an important recognition for Praiano and the entire Amalfi Coast," Ferraioli emphasizes. "The magazine has successfully showcased the most authentic aspects of the village, helping to promote a less predictable and more complete image of the coast."

For the District President, the result reinforces the promotional work carried out over the last twelve years with the aim of distributing tourist flows to lesser-known centers, enhancing the entire territory.

A model of sustainable tourism

According to Ferraioli, the international fame of the most famous towns on the coast represents a heritage to be shared with all the villages in the area.

Praiano, in this sense, demonstrates how it is possible to welcome international tourism without sacrificing its own identity, offering an experience of sea, culture, traditions, and daily life, far from the beaten track.

A development model that focuses on quality hospitality and the valorization of local specialties, increasingly sought after by international tourism.
