The long trail of blood on the streets of Naples and its province continues with the name of another young victim. Paolo Lettieri, just 18 years old, originally from Boscotrecase, died this morning after a tragic car accident in Torre Annunziata.

The young man was riding his scooter on his way to work: he worked as a lifeguard at the Lido Azzurro. For reasons still under investigation, while traveling along Via Avallone, the road behind the Giraud Stadium, his scooter collided with a car.

Paolo was coming from the upper part of the city. The impact was extremely violent. The 18-year-old was thrown several meters away. Despite wearing a helmet, his condition immediately appeared very serious.

Emergency medical services arrived on the scene, provided first aid to the young man and arranged for his emergency transfer to the Ospedale del Mare in Naples.

The driver of the car underwent the required tests to assess his physical and mental condition at the time of the accident. His position will now be assessed by the Torre Annunziata Public Prosecutor's Office, which will be responsible for all decisions regarding the investigation.
