Cocaine hidden in a doll: two arrests in Portico di Caserta
Portico di Caserta – This afternoon, Carabinieri officers from the Macerata Campania station, engaged in territorial control, arrested two individuals suspected of possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
The operation began during a checkpoint on Via Diaz, where a Renault Clio driven by a man of Albanian origin, born in 1995 and with no fixed address in Italy, was ordered to stop. The man's behavior prompted the officers to investigate further: inside the vehicle, they found material believed to be useful for drug dealing, including cutting agents and a notebook with significant accounting records.
The investigation continued with a search of Capodrise's home, which belonged to the man himself and his partner, a 39-year-old Italian woman.
Hidden inside a stuffed animal in the bedroom were 17,2 grams of cocaine, two precision scales, and packaging materials. Along with the drugs, a notebook with notes related to drug dealing and €1.100 in cash were found. The recovered material was seized by the Carabinieri.
Following the formal procedures, the two arrested individuals were placed under house arrest pending a summary hearing. The investigation will continue in the next phases to determine any liability, in full compliance with the safeguards provided by law.
