Daniel Maldini was involved in a crash in Milan at dawn, leaving six people hospitalized.

A night in Milan ended in the hospital for Daniel Maldini. The Cagliari player was involved in a car accident shortly after 5:00 a.m. Sunday morning on Via Caracciolo, in the northern part of Milan.

The 25-year-old suffered minor injuries and was transported to Fatebenefratelli Hospital with a yellow code, where he underwent the necessary medical checks after the violent impact.

The accident involved a total of six people: in addition to Maldini, two women aged 20 and 22 and three men aged 19, 20, and 21 were injured. According to initial reports, no one suffered serious injuries.

"After a brief check-up with a code blue status at the emergency room, Daniel was immediately discharged and returned home. He is in good health," said Danilo Buongiorno, attorney for soccer player Daniel Maldini, who was involved in a car accident in Milan this morning. "Daniel is fine and has not suffered any injuries, let alone serious ones," Buongiorno added.

The dynamics: three cars involved

The Milan Local Police are now investigating the dynamics of the crash.

According to an initial reconstruction, Maldini was driving a Porsche Carrera 4 and entered Via Caracciolo from Via Tolentino. At that moment, however, a Volkswagen Golf headed toward Via Mac Mahon appeared.

The Porsche then allegedly hit the Golf, causing a pile-up that also involved a Mercedes parked along Via Caracciolo.

The exact reconstruction of the accident still relies on the officers' surveys, who are called upon to precisely establish the trajectories, speeds, and driving conditions of the cars before the impact.

Six people rescued

The alarm was raised immediately. Three ambulances and a medical car responded to the scene to assist the six people involved.

One of the injured was treated directly at the scene of the accident, while the other five were transferred to various hospitals in Milan, including the Policlinico, the San Carlo, and the Fatebenefratelli. All hospital interventions were given a yellow status.

Maldini was therefore transferred to the hospital as a precaution and to complete the medical checks following the collision.

Alcohol and drug tests

Along with the roadside investigations, toxicology tests were also ordered to verify the possible presence of alcohol or narcotics in the drivers involved.

These are investigative findings that will need to be evaluated along with other evidence gathered by the Local Police and which may contribute to the overall reconstruction of what happened.

At this time, therefore, there is no evidence to definitively establish responsibility: the findings, testimonies, and tests carried out by investigators will clarify every aspect of the affair.

A few hours before Cagliari's victory

The accident occurred just hours after a particularly positive evening for Daniel Maldini on a sporting level.

The player had returned to Milan after the away match in Bergamo, where Cagliari had defeated Atalanta. Maldini himself had been among the key figures in the victory, scoring the decisive penalty.

Just a few hours passed from the joy of victory to the fear of the accident. Now, attention is focused on his physical condition and on the local police's investigations to reconstruct every detail of the crash.
